Great Pumpkin Beer Festival, GPBF, traditions started in the early days of our existence. Over time, the fest has outgrown itself and now summons over 6,000 pumpkin revelers, and 80 plus pumpkin, cask, farmhouse, and fresh hop beers over two days. The event is ritualistic, a nod to fall, and begins with an employee procession to open the taps. Attendees wear orange. A king and queen are crowned. The festive mood morphs into a tipping point where the giant pumpkin is sacrificed using a drill, while the congregation bellies up for a taste.
